THE LOUISIANA CROSS OF MERIT
18 June 2003
In a ceremony held in the Eckelmann Hangar the members of the 122nd Bomb Squadron Restoration Unit were cited with
The Louisiana Cross of Merit by Major General Bennett C. Landreneau, State Adjutant General.
The Louisiana Cross of Merit is awarded by the Adjutant General upon
recommendation of the awards board to any person
who served honorably in the Louisiana National Guard while in State service and who during this period of honorable service
distinguished himself by exceptional heroism, meritorious achievement, or meritorious
service. The performance must be such as to
merit recognition of the individual's service which is clearly exceptional. The required achievement of service while of lesser degree
than that required for award of the Distinguished Service Medal, must nevertheless have been
meritorious and accomplished with distinction.
