  Clarence F. Eckelmann founder and President of the 122nd Bombardment Squadron Veterans Association died 27 September 2001. His contributions, leadership and tireless dedication on behalf of the aircraft restoration group are of legendary importance. The Adjutant General of Louisiana, Major General Bennett C. Landreneau recognized Eckelmann's talents by scheduling a memorial ceremony to dedicate the restoration building in his name on 27 March 2002.
