  On learning that the discarded remains of two "Mechanical Mules" were still on the grounds of Jackson Barracks the Adjutant General asked if the Restoration Unit could possibly salvage enough parts to assemble another unit. It would have to be fully operational and would be sent to Camp Beauregard.
